Physical units

The parameters in cytosim can be specified in any system of units, but the same system should be used consistently for all values!

For convenience, default values are provided for some parameters, and this is done with this system of units:

Quantity	Unit	Value
Distance	micro-meter	10^(-6) = 0.000001 meter
Force	pico-Newton	10^(-12) = 0.000000000001 Newton
Time	second	1/60 minute

For example:

Parameter	Default value
viscosity	1 pN.s/um^2
kT	0.0042 pN.um

It is therefore strongly advised to convert everything to pico-Newtons, micro-meters and seconds.
